Terms of Use

1. The service

Mutfak Ustam is a free service that lets you share recipes, find and save other people’s recipes, translate recipes, comment and rate, follow other users, message them, join chat rooms, and keep shopping lists and meal plans. We may change the service over time, add new features or remove some.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Mutfak Ustam. If you are under 18, you must use it with your parent’s or guardian’s consent.
• You must give accurate information when creating an account and must not share your password. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• You may not create an account in someone else’s name or impersonate anyone. Your username must not infringe others’ rights or be misleading or offensive.
• You can delete your account from the app at any time.

3. Content you share

The recipes, photos, translations, comments and messages you share are yours. By sharing them on Mutfak Ustam, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, format (for example, resize photos), publish on the website, share and translate them into other languages as part of the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, although translations others made of your content and conversations containing your replies may be kept.

You must hold the necessary rights to what you share. You may not copy and share other people’s recipe texts, photos or writing without permission.

4. What is not allowed

On Mutfak Ustam you may not:

• Share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene or violent.
• Share other people’s personal information without permission.
• Send spam, advertising or misleading content, or post the same content repeatedly.
• Present practices known to be harmful to health as recipes.
• Harass other users, or try to reach someone who has blocked you by other means.
• Try to break the service’s security, access other people’s accounts, scrape the service with automated tools or overload it.

5. Moderation, reporting and blocking

Recipes may be reviewed before they are published. We may remove content that breaks these terms without notice, decline to publish it, restrict access to chat rooms, or suspend or close the account. You can report content and people you find inappropriate, and block them, from within the app. We review reports but cannot guarantee that every report leads to action.

6. Recipes and liability

Recipes are shared by users. We cannot guarantee their accuracy, ingredient quantities, cooking times, nutritional values or allergen information. When following a recipe, it is your responsibility to take your own health, allergies and food safety rules into account.

Mutfak Ustam is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service. Liabilities that cannot be limited by law are excluded from this.

7. Intellectual property

The Mutfak Ustam name and logo, and the design and software of the apps and website, belong to us. Apart from content shared by users, you may not copy, distribute or modify them without permission.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend or close your account. What happens to your data after deletion is explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, and we will also announce significant changes in the app. Continuing to use Mutfak Ustam after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. For questions, write to info@mutfakustam.com.
